I hesitated to give this piece a title because I really want each viewer to have their own experience with the painting. Whatever YOU see, is what it is. This figure could be a goddess, a mystic traveler, your own inner spirit or an angel. To me, I see a female spirit guide prompting me to move forward with courage and strength. The figure was made using a piece of acrylic "skin" (layers of dried paint) adhered to the canvas which creates added dimension and texture. I also embedded some seed beads at the bottom that add subtle sparkle. The staple free sides of the canvas are painted black and it is ready to hang without a frame, signed, titled and dated on the back.
