guitar string jewelry- annealed steel and guitar string choker

Description

This beautiful and unique necklace has a rustic look to it and features my hand coiled guitar string beads strung on annealed steel wire. The handmade jumprings and the hook and eye clasp are both annealed steel as well. The necklace measures 18 1/2". The last picture is not of this actual necklace, but me modeling one of the same deign and length.

All of my guitar and bass string jewelry is made from previously played strings. Some strings may have some discoloration, but I feel this adds to the character of the pieces. Since most guitar strings are made up of more than one metal, for example steel and nickel, they are not able to be recycled. Unless the strings are given a new use they will just end up in the trash, which makes my guitar string jewelry eco-friendly as well as being beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry.
