This posting is for our amazing Chicken Recipe. Dogs love these Colossal Canine Crunchers. They just can't believe the whole cookie is theirs!

If your fur-kid is a Big *Bad* Boy or Girl like ours, then these ornate beauties are the treats that satisfy. Each hefty, thick-cut, bone-shaped cruncher is approx. 5-inches long. Now this is something a dog can really get his mouth around.

PLEASE NOTE: The photo with the black background is of our amazing chicken recipe and the photos of packaged products are of our yummy Peanut recipe. More photos coming as soon as I get my new camera.

INSPIRATION: Our 100 lb plus Newfie/Lab, Jackson, who will live with us forever more as we cannot place him due to his hips, was the inspiration for this treat. (You can read more about Jack and his brother Riffle's ordeal at animal control where we found them on death row in my profile.)

Poor Jack would watch all the smaller dogs holding their treats between their paws, biting off chunks and taking their time eating them. Jack's cavernous mouth is so big that his treats went down all at once and then he stood around watching everyone else continue to munch. He looked so sad. I tried giving him a couple of handfuls at a time but the treats were small and some even got lost inside his big cheeks -- that really frustrated him!

So I made up these hunky bones and now Jack can munch his big treat just like the smaller dogs. He's a happy boy now. Although, he would be happier if I would give him more treats but we have to monitor his weight so as not to further damage his hips.

PACKAGING: The bright and playful packaging for these yummy cookies is like the cherry on top. The dog's head and bone are 3D and he sports a posh satin bandana. After all, he wouldn't want to drool on his chest, lol. The entire package topper is framed in silky fringed turquoise ribbon. So much fun for dog lovers!

STORAGE: None of our products have preservatives so they should be kept in an air-tight container or refrigerated. These treats freeze very well in a freezer-safe container.

The best savings for you come from filling that box as full as possible because one item ships for the same cost as a box packed to the brim.

I combine shipping to the smallest box and the lowest possible amount for you.

Therefore, depending on what you order, your items may fit into a MEDIUM Flat Rate box at US $9.85 or even a SMALL Flat Rate box at US $4.80. The majority of orders do fit nicely in a MEDIUM Flat Rate box.

Again, I refund all shipping overpayments right away.

If you live on the West Coast, I may be able to ship to you via USPS Parcel Post for less. It may take longer for your order to reach you but if you’d like me to price that option for you, I’ll be happy to do so. Please do let me know BEFORE you place an order, though. This option is not recommended during warm weather months.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Currently I do not offer international shipping. Hopefully, this will change in 2010.

ABOUT THE DOG ABOVE: Many folks think that purebreds do not wind up in shelters, especially kill shelters. I can tell you this is so not true. If you prefer a purebred to a mix breed, please consider rescuing one from your local shelter.
