This is for a drop spindle with an Italian resin whorl with openwork. These whorls are quite lovely. They are quite expensive and that's the reason for the price. The shaft is hardwood and has been carved. The whorl is removable.The hook is a heavy gold filled wire and has been bent in a swan style.
