One of my earliest portraits, this pensive young girl, nicknamed Poochie, has been among my most popular paintings. My own two children, however, insist that I not sell the original. Poochie is their distant cousin, who introduced them to the runnings of country yard life in rural Jamaica. Her life has been far from easy but she is a survivor.

I've chosen this portrait of Poochie as my online avatar,business card and my all-around calling symbol of my work. She captures what I'm about in a nutshell.
