PATTERN Teeny Toes Baby Socks

Description

Keep tiny toes snug all year round with these classic socks. Knitted on double-pointed needles in any 4ply yarn (you can use up all your sock yarn remnants!), with a ribbed cuff that forms a close fit around the ankle. Teeny Toes can be knitted in solid colours, self-striping yarns, or adorned with flowers and beads... Really, the possibilities are endless. You won’t find a more versatile sock pattern for those first baby steps, and with sizes from 0-12 months, you can keep baby feet cosy for an entire year! You don’t need to be an expert to knit these up as the pattern is absolute child’s play!
The socks are knitted in the round, using double pointed needles. Pattern includes step by step instructions and full colour photographs.

To fit baby feet 0-3 (3-6:6-9:9-12) months

MATERIALS
Yarn
36(52:60:84)m/40(57:66:92)yds of fingering/4ply yarn
Socks shown in Wendy Happy 4ply,75% bamboo/25% nylon (420m/460yds, 100/3.5oz) in Capricorn.
Needles
One set of 4 double pointed needles size 3mm (US 2 1/2)
OR needle size necessary to obtain gauge
Notions
Tapestry needle to weave in ends
Stitch markers


BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Gauge/Tension
28sts and 32 rows = 10cm square over stocking stitch using 3mm needles
