Hand bound Journal with Vintage Silk Cover

Description

I took a vintage, silk scarf and turned it into a piece of luscious book cloth which makes this little piece of art a one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly item. The hardback cover underneath was up-cycled from an old book that I salvaged. It makes for a fantastic, sturdy structure for this lovely, blank book. The cover colors are aqua blue, green grass, and brilliant, vintage orange

Inside, the text block is comprised of Mohawk, Superfine drawing paper; each piece was hand-torn and sized one at a time by me. The text block was stitched directly to the spine using the time-tested, Long Stitch Method. It hold 120 pages, (counting front and back).

This book would make a lovely guest book, journal, or sketchbook.
