Frog Fiddling - Magnet

Here is one happy frog fiddling away!

The image of this frog has been carved and pressed into clay to create a small tile. I've glazed this one in a transparent fern green crackle. A super strong magnet is securely attached to the back. It measures approximately 1 3/4 wide" x 2 1/8" tall.

I carved the image in wax and then poured a plaster mould. After extruding a thin slab of porcelain clay, the plaster mould is pressed into the clay, the tile is cut around the edges. After drying, the edges are sponged, the tile is fired, glazed, and fired again. A lot of work for a little piece of art! Each one is slightly different - because they're handmade!
