Table Topper Altar Cloth Wall Hanging Tie Dye Blues

Description

This 27 X 27 inch mini quilt is a 17 inch regular pentagon. It contains a beautiful center kaleidoscope bordered by complementary fabrics as well as the fabric used for the center. The back side is a piece of red, white and blue tie dye with little stars! It makes the topper double sided.

The ‘batting’ layer for this table/altar quilt is cut from a piece of cotton corduroy. The top and back of this mini quilt were fused to the ‘batting’ before machine quilting, assuring stability of the layers.

Use as a table accent, altar cloth or if you would prefer it as a wall hanging I will add a hanging sleeve to the back. To add a sleeve let me know in notes to seller and allow 3 – 5 days for completion before shipping.

Hand wash warm water gentle detergent, roll in towel to remove excess water, lay flat to dry, warm iron as needed.

This ‘quilt’ is not designed to absorb heat, do not use as a pad for oven hot dishes on your nice wooden tables, the finishes will not be happy, damage and/or discoloration may occur.

The center motif is one of many pentagon kaleidoscopes I have in my collection. A few years back I went through a wide selection of my fabric stash and cut a set of 5 repeats of the pattern on each of the fabrics. I had 5 identical pieces of each fabric. Using a stack and slash method I cut several sets of triangles from each set. I then pieced numerous pentagon kaleidoscopes looking for the few that would fit in the project I was working on. Consequently, I have a large collection of these awesome pentagons! Sometimes my compulsive side brings positive results! Look for more of these wonderful elements in the future.
