Hand-stitched pin imagining life emerging on Mars in the form of lichen.

One in a series of unique Mars Garden pins perfect for wannabe space travellers, Mars colonists, sci fi fans and intrepid biologists. Each design is different, inspired by Kim Stanley Robinson's descriptions in 'Green Mars' of first plant life appearing on the the planet's cold dry surface. Suitable for decorating clothing, bags or cubicle walls belonging to Martians and Earthlings of any gender.

Freehand embroidery with cotton thread on vintage woolen blanket. The pin is approximately 5.5x4cm and set on a bar pin for secure fastening.
