OOAK Shetland Floor Rug , Berry Confetti, Hand dyed, Hand Woven by Alba Ranch

This is a one of a kind (OOAK), hand dyed hand woven Shetland Floor Rug called "Berry Confetti". It is Purple, Blue, Pink, and Magenta...all different colours blended together and the camera does not do the colours justice.

It has been slightly felted to make the Shetland Fleece stronger, and the dye was done with acid dyes so there could be some lightening in colour when it is washed. It must be washed in cold water. Do NOT use heat on it to dry it or wash it, as soap heat and agitation will felt it further unless of course you WANT to felt it more! After washing while wet, the warps can be tightened if they have loosened off any but generally with drying they tighten back up as they are a cotton warp.

The Rug measures 34" x 40" rectangle shaped rug, hand woven on a peg loom from Shetland rovings. Hand dyed to get a variegated confetti of colours.

We are a smoke free ranch, but we do have many critters including dogs. They do not get to test drive the rugs for a bed and they did not help me weave on the peg loom.
