The Brodie Set Boater - Vintage

What 'o? Indeed, this is a boater worthy of any 1930s Scottish schoolgirl. I can see Miss Brodie's set strutting around the grounds of The Marcia Blaine School for Girls in this fine boater. And naturally, each girl would tip her hat differently. (In case you are wondering, I am referring to Muriel Spark's book, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie)

This fine little boater (which isn't really a *proper* boater, but it is definitely the shape and the right look!) features a medium-width brim, a flat crown, and a band of black linen-look material. (cotton, I think) The straw is not tightly woven, so as to let those breezes in.

Condition: Good. The brim is not completely flat, but this adds to the hat's character. :)
