South Sea Maori Double Twist Pendant

DESCRIPTION: This is for one white, South Sea (see description below) Mother of Pearl pendant. It is 1 3/4" long, 15/16" at it's widest part, and 3/8" at it's thickest part (it's nice and thick). The 4th picture shows the types of shell that we carry this design in, and the last picture is an example of another shell design we carry (would make nice matching earrings).

The symbol is a Maori (Polynesian, New Zealand) double twist, which represents the joining together of two people or two cultures for eternity. Even though they experience highs and lows of life they remain bonded by friendship and loyalty for life.

SOUTH SEA SHELL: This shell is the same oyster that makes the large, expensive, white-yellow pearls that you find in the fine jewelry stores for thousands of dollars. The most common sources for the shell are New Zealand and Australia.

OUR SHELL/MOTHER OF PEARL CARVINGS: Our Mother of Pearl carvings are made from only the best, highest-quality shell from around the world and the designs are very unique. All of our pendants have beautiful luster (a green-pink sheen or some of the white ones have a bright white sheen) that doesn't show up in the pictures.
