Cobalt Celtic Knot Barrette

Description

This barrette is made from a cobalt blue glass that has been coated with a gorgeous iridized finish. Etched into the finish is a Celtic knot.

All of my barrettes shipped within the US come to you in a small, gift ready box. For overseas shipping, while I typically package them this way as well, I *may* package them in more sturdy packaging so that they arrive without "assembly required"...

Handmade in my PA studio, the Celtic knot is hand drawn, then reproduced on etch-able film, which is then placed on the barrette and etched. My barrettes typically measure between 3 1/2" and 3 3/4" (9 - 10 cm long) and 1"(3 cm) wide. Since I make several of these, but each is hand-made, the glass length, width and coloration may vary slightly from the one shown in the photo.

Even if you have extremely fine hair, the French-made clasp on this barrette should hold - my own is very fine and slippery, and I wear one of my own glass barrettes in it nearly every day. I recommend at least shoulder length hair is your hair is fine and slippery. People with thick hair, this barrette should fit you as well. I have not had anyone yet who could not get the barrette to close around their hair.

I do not recommend wearing my barrettes in a pool or shower. I would also avoid playing rugby on concrete or any other extreme contact sport while wearing my barrettes. :)
