Necklace Neo-Victorian- Waltzing Through the Golden Age

I just love the elegance of the Victorian era, but my love for sleek modern design always seems to shake those elements out of my head when making a new piece of jewelry. So when I found myself wanting to design a necklace that embodies the lacy ornate femininity of the Victorian period, as well as a modern edge. I took my favorite Victorian necklace silhouette pared it down to it’s most basic elements Added a touch of sparkle, and this is the necklace that came out of that fusion. A necklace that tips it’s hat to yesteryear, while bearing it’s teeth to bring on the future.

The pendant portion of the necklace measures about 5 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches high. It is made out of a well choreographed placement of ornate clock hands. The top of the pendant is encrusted with freshwater baroque pearls. Gold colored chain completes the lacy length of the necklace. The entire necklace measures 14 inches long. A 3 1/2 inch extender dangles from the back closed by a lobster clasp which is waited by yet another baroque pearl. Giving the vision of glamour and elegance of that fanciful era translated for the world we find ourselves confronted with today.
