Little Cotton Candy Basket
Description
This wonderful little basket / bowl is great for just a few small trinkets, pocket change, and small items.This basket / bowl was made of a wonderful cotton flannel with roses on it. It reminds me of cotton (without the green bits). The fabric was cut into strips and coiled around a cord before being sewn into a bowl measuring approximately 7 inches in diameter 2 inches deep. Coiling is a method of basketry that involves wrapping strips of fabric in this case around a cord and developing shape.
