Description: Viburnum trilobum is a woody, perennial shrub that thrives best in full sunlight but tolerates partial shade. Prefers moist areas but does well on a wide variety of sites. Fast growing to between 3 and 15 feet but can be maintained through pruning to small sizes. Reaches maturity within 2-3 years depending upon site conditions. Blooms in the spring with copious amounts of self fertile white flowers that are replaced with very juicy, tart-acidic, edible red berries. Berries attract birds and other wildlife throughout the fall and winter.
