Antique Gold Metal Dieges and Clust, creators of the heisman trophy and olympic medals

Back of Medal reads : 1/2 Mile Barge 1904
{beautifully engraved!}

It is marked in teenie tiny letters CHICAGO and DIEGES & CLUST and GOLD. It is on the heavier side and measures approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter.

Front of medal depicts a woman with laurel leaves and 2 rowing oars and a banner with the letters " CRC" Chicago Rowing Club, I imagine. Underneath it reads I B C (illinois beach club?). In the distance there is a building with a flag- could be chicago yacht club? Could be evanston? navy pier? Must be lake michigan, that I know for sure....

This would be cool on a chain or worn on a ribbon.
