Description
The yatagarasu or three-legged crow is a mythological creature in Japanese culture that appears in a number of legends. It devoured a monster that tried to eat the sun. It also guided a priest on his travels through the mountains. Here a fun-loving yatagarasu takes time out to dance to his favourite music.This original ink and watercolour drawing has been made with Pilot drawing ink and Kusakabe artists' watercolour and acrylic paints on handmade washi from the famous paper-making town of Ogawamachi in Saitama Prefecture.
The image measures 15cms x 10cms or 6" x 4" and has been collaged with artists' grade paper adhesive to a thicker washi backing that measures 28 cms x 24 cms or 11" x 9.5".
This original drawing will be shipped flat with a certificate of authenticity. Recycled packaging may be used. Expect 6 -10 days delivery worldwide; Japan Post registered airmail (kakitome).
