Faverolles and Cayuga Feather Earrings (Cruelty Free)

Description

These earrings are 3 1/4 inches long and dangle from sterling silver ear wires.

The top feather is from a Faverolles, a French breed of chicken that is currently on the ALBC listed as critical. This is not the same thing as a threatened species. (Note this is a breed of chicken not the entire species of chicken.) This simply means there are less than a certain number of farmers who raise a minimum number of these special chickens here in the U.S.

All feathers are shed naturally and carefully selected. I spend a lot of time finding matching pairs and making sure Lucy Goose earrings are of excellent quality.

These earrings also include black and white feathers from a Wyandotte hen and a Cayuga duck feather. The Cayuga is a N. American breed named after the Cayuga tribe and Lake Cayuga in New York. The Cayuga is listed as a threatened breed with the ALBC.
