Phone Messages Designer Bag

Description

This bag is so adorable! It is made from baby pink fabric by Japanese designer Harumi Sugihara of Moco Moco. The cute animals are playing string and cup telephones. The bear is asking the lamb "what's up" and the hedgehog is asking the little mouse "how is it going". There are lots of other messages being 'transmitted' and also snowflakes and doilies and a supply of paper cups, string and scissors!

The base of the bag is made from a lovely pink textured Japanese sakizome momen fabric (see below for more on sakizome momen) and there is beautiful pastel interior by US designer Debbie Mumm.

Sakizome momen is a traditional Japanese cotton fabric woven from fibres that have been dyed using only natural plant and flower dyes. It gives a very soft and lovely textured look to the fabric.
