The layers of the bag are made of fabric scraps from other garments and bags, so the possibilities are practically endless.
The flap is extravagantly layered with many colors and textures, greens, blues, purple, curried browns and includes some leather, burlap and brocade fabric. If you prefer an animal free bag, the leather can be omitted. Each wriggly, bubbly piece is cut and fitted individually and comes together like compressing layers of cumulonimbus cloud formations. Handmade, sculptural buttons are scattered around the flap as well. The body of the bag is made with canvas of your choice and is lined with a complimentary fabric and has two pockets.

The bag hugs you like a shell or a shall. Fashioned subconsciously from my visual appreciation of Japanese Obi sashes. Encourages mobility. Not into sporty backpacks or messenger bags? Neither am I. This is an alternative. Conforms to your torso and distributes weight comfortably for the times when you have to load it up and lug it around awhile. On days when you have a lighter load, you might even forget you're wearing it. Can be slung across your body for biking, walking and public transit or can be worn more like a purse if you prefer that style. The bag can be made with a gusset for more expandability or with out.
