Nicole is all gussied up and bright eyed ready for a night of romance. Love isn't just for the young! She is made from calico to my own pattern then covered with several layers of gesso. Then she was sanded and painted with artist quality acrylics and embellishments added. Her skin now has a leather-like patina and slight sheen, you can see from the photos that there are tiny scratches and imperfections, this is deliberate to give her a slight vintage feel.

All of my dolls are "One of a Kind", from my own original patterns and take hours to make, using traditional calico fabric and are stuffed with hygienic top quality synthetic soft toy filling. They are made with a machine and finished with hand stitching. The faces (and even some of the fabrics used in the clothing) are hand painted in artists acrylic with glitter and special finishes.

Each doll comes wrapped in cello with it's own adoption certificate and a little story/rhyme about the doll. All my dolls are intended as adult collectibles and as many contain wire, and have small parts (bells, beads & buttons!). They are designed for display rather than for play/young children.
