Whimsical Wands / Pine Phoenix or Tamarack

Description

These whimsical wands measure 12 inches long. Along the length of the wand I've hand created raised patterning all around - accented in gold. The entire wand has been antique with a dark green paint and it has been sealed to protect the finish.

Each wand is named after a species of great Pine found across the United States.

"Pine Phoenix" is named after the great Pitch Pine tree, so named because it often sends up shoots after a fire; the only member of the family that does. Will also stand a salt-sea bath -- a thing most trees heartily dislike. This wand has long, flowing gold raised patterning - shooting toward the tip.

"Tamarack" is named after the Larch Pine - as spoken by Hiawatha: "Give me of your roots, O Tamarack! Of your fibrous roots, O Larch Tree!" The patterning on this wand reveals it's roots along the sides, tangled and twisted, yet full of strength.
