Penny Whistle - handspun organic cotton bamboo vegan yarn

Description

I spun one ply of this yarn from soft organic cotton that I handdyed in shades of copper, red-orange, pale leaf green, sky blue, pale gold, and deep lavender, and the other ply from shiny recycled bamboo dyed in shades of deep copper, silver, and gold. I love this combination of fibers - the matte softness of the cotton against the shiny drapey smoothness of the bamboo.

This yarn is wool-free, so it's easily cared for & good for people with allergies or sensitive skin. Perfect for warm-weather crafting!

This yarn is about a worsted weight - I'd recommend around size 6-7 US knitting needles for a tightly knit fabric, although this yarn would also look good knit up on bigger needles for a lacey, open fabric. This is plenty of yarn for a hat, a skinny scarf, a scarflette/cowl, or a pair or two of fingerless gloves.
