Malachite Tear Necklace

Description

This necklace consists of a handmade bronze chain with beautiful green malachite chips attached with gold coloured head pins. There are also four circular glass beads and one large 'teardrop' shaped pendant. The circular glass beads have red, yellow and gold beads hanging from the bottoms, again on gold head pins. It fastens with a copper hook clasp.

The glass beads and pendant come from a local flea market and had obviously been parts of a chandelier once. I love how they look, they provide a fantastic contrast to the shape and colour of the stone beads whilst the pendant acts as a focal point for this detailed necklace.

In contrast to my aluminium versions of this necklace, this one is heavy! It's a solid, substantial piece of jewellery that will really stand out.

The central 22cm of chain has a chip or bead hanging from every loop, whilst the back section is left bare.
