This horseshoe is entirely hand made using the lost wax casting process. This sterling silver piece started off as a piece of wax. I hand formed the wax and several steps later, including melting and handling molten silver, ended up with a nice, solid piece of sterling silver jewelry. I've made several pieces, but each has been individually formed and cast which gives each piece its own unique look and characteristics.18" horseshoe necklace hangs on an oxidized sterling silver chain. Horseshoe is approx. 1 1/4".
