Antler Ring, Whitetail Deer

This is a listing for one ring....please convo your size and wood preferred.

Inspired by the souvenir, and the desire to take a "piece" of a place away with you, this design is inspired by my love of Canadiana....

I find myself drawn to the irony and humor in the clichéd images that re-appear within our collective idea of Canada. As I explore and manipulate these symbols I hope to emphasize the importance of identity, the power of nostalgia for places and people forgotten and the layers of meaning that develop when these symbols are distorted, combined or forgotten.

This ring was launched at the Mc Clure and Egan Gallery in the "Object 2007" exhibition....but their most recent incarnation in wood was launched at the "Come up to my Room" exhibition, 2008.

About:

Materials: Maple or Walnut: both are beautiful woods.
Measurements: 4cm x 5mm
Sizes: 4-10, if custom sizes are needed, no problem, just inquire.
Finish: Polished waxed finish.
This listing is for one ring: size 6.

If you need a differnt size, just convo me, not a problem at all, will just take a few days longer.

When wearing be careful not to catch on fabrics, it is possible to break if you are rough with it.
