Leaves of Grass Ring
Description
Sterling silver with gold decoration. The internal diameter is 17 mm approx, which is around an American 6 1/2.This was a one-off inspired by reading about Japanese metalwork, where the colour and beauty of metals was considered more important than the rarity and value.
The low-carat gold is capable of being oxidized so after soldering I coloured the entire outer part of the ring, which gives a lovely muted bronze hue to the leaves of grass.
