Deep Purple Hand Dyed Silk Organza Extra Long Scarf with Bubbles

This Silk Organza Bubble Wrap was dyed using low impact fiber reactive dyes using purple dyes. The resulting color is a deep plum purple in low light, but in brighter light it shines with a hint of dazzling violet (see photos)!

After dyeing, I embedded different objects into the cloth randomly, heat set them, then removed the objects to leave the shape permanently embedded in the cloth. The texture is reminiscent of bubble wrap. Hence, Bubble Wrap-to-wear!

The length of this scarf is 70" long making it long enough to wear numerous ways. See the photos for some ideas. I wore a turquoise extra long scarf using a fine silver bracelet to hold diagonally in the front and with a "bustle" in the back (as seen in a couple of the photos). I received so many compliments! It would be elegant worn on a taller woman, or a plus size woman, too, since its length would fit the proportions of those body types very well.

The fine silver crochet bracelet seen in the photos does not come with the scarf. It is a great accessory to aid in wearing the scarf creatively and as a jewelry item.
