Here is a very nice vintage copy(1961)of the classic story of Babar the little elephant by Jean De Brunhoff,translated by Merle S. Haas from the original French version.The binding is strong and the reading pages are in bright and very good clean condition. There is some puckering of the plastic overwrap on the cover,due to its age,however it will continue to help protect the cover from liquids and the elements and shows no signs of peeling or lifting off.There is no stains or writing in the book except on the decorative opening page, where two names have been spelled out by a child on the elephants bodies(not very noticeable,second picture posted here you have to look closely) and there is a small, sweet inscription written to a little girl before the title page that reads,"To Nadia with love! Marc and Jackie xxxxxx."
