QUEEN OF HEARTS-Art Doll from Alice in Wonderland

Description

This is my newest Art Doll, The Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. She was created from a dollmaking class I took online by Judy Skeel, one of my favorite doll artist. What you see is my finished version of Judy's Queen of Hearts from her class.

I hope to created other characters from Alice in Wonderland in the near future. After all director Tim Burton's film, "Alice In Wonderland" starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter will be release in 2010. So I thought it would be fun to create dolls from "Alice In Wonderland". Keep your eyes on my upcoming dolls from "Alice" in the near future.

There is so much detail to this doll, from the lovely fabric of her dress, the paper clay created hearts on her crown and her staff, the trim on her clothing, pearls and lace, and glass eyes.
