Vintage Japanese kimono silk panel pinwheel daisy meisen ikat
Description
Vivacious crazy daisy pinwheels woven in ikat/meisen dating from around the 1930's in pink, gray, sage green, black, yellow, and red over ivory. The threads were dyed prior to weaving, hence the fuzzy appearance of the design. This panel is in very good condition with a few signs of age, including small spots.Measurements: 14" x 42.5" (36 cm x 109 cm)
This panel of silk was carefully unpicked from a vintage kimono, a process that takes on average two hours per garment. As with any vintage textile, signs of age and wear are to be expected.
