Description

Who didn't want a to live in this exciting section of Montmarte...old and gritty and luminous? I would go back to this tiny apartment overlooking Pigal in all my reincarnations if I can. The paint chips, the rain leaks in, the smell of cigars and Vermouth permeate through the air and the fog is thick, but I can only see clear here. This place of sinners and the rich men that visit on Friday evenings, it's where I have come to call "home".

This piece incorporates the turn of the century grit, with a glamorous accent. The secrets and stories of the disheveled and decadent, the antique Knights of Pythias badge is suspended from a contemporary strand of glass pearls, and below dangles a faceted, brilliant,imperfect Swarovski crystal prism.
The badge reads, PLEF: Purity, Love, Equality, and Fidelity. This is from the auxiliary or Pythian Sisters. This one is for us ladies...the crown for our queendom, the scepter for our rule and the sword for our wrath.
