Sailboat and Dolphin Stained Glass Suncatcher

This is a hand made intricate and complex piece! I made this SAILBOAT and DOLPHIN 3D Stained Glass Suncatcher Whirl in my studio/workshop out of handcut glass using the copper foil method to solder the glass together. Then the solder is polished to make is shine!

There are a total of 6 outer rings made from textured brilliant sky blue glass (3) and iridized textured clear glass (3). The Sailboat is constructed from black, white, and red glass and features a Dolphin swimming along side on sea of blue! I think it would look absolutely beautiful in your beach house! This piece measures approximately 9"X9" and truly sparkles in the light!

Please don’t let the photos fool you, I’m working on improving my photography skills to truly catch the brilliance of light passing through my stained glass pieces. Look at the detail and the quality of my solder lines.

These are indoor pieces and will be instant conversation starters, we like to hang them from the bottom of ceiling fans, in a bay window, or install a hook in the ceiling and place a floor lamp beneath the piece to light it.

We’ve been making unique stained glass pieces for over 6 years and we stand behind the quality of our work. The pricing is based primarily on material costs and only a small fraction of the time involved as we LOVE making these beautiful pieces!
