mitra fine silver pendant on sterling chain

stamped pendant with the word mitra and the symbol for om. pendant is made of silver precious metal clay on a sterling silver box chain. mitra is the sanskrit word for friend. om is the universal sound of all creation.

this is from my new line of PMC (precious metal clay) pendants. PMC is more pure than sterling silver. it contains of particles of pure silver mixed with an organic binder. when the binder is burned away during firing, it leaves a pendant of 99.9% pure silver.

i've taken a stamp with the om symbol and "mitra" letter stamps and pressed them into the clay, then fired with a torch. after that, the pendant was tumbled to buff it to a high polish.

this piece is definitely unique, containing tiny marks and faint fingerprints on the back of the pendant where i worked and formed the clay. i decided to keep these because it shows that my pendants are made by hand and one of a kind.

PENDANT: circle, 5/8 inch in diameter
CHAIN: 16 inches long, lobster clasp closure
