Navy EMILY, Recycled Wool Sweater Mini Tote

This fun, casual EMILY style tote bag was made from a felted, repurposed wool sweater. The felting, or more correctly "fulling", process turned the original navy blue sweater into a thick, sturdy wool fabric. The tote measures 12 inches across the top opening and is 9 1/2 inches tall. The wide flat bottom measures 8 inches by 6 inches and is reinforced with a stiff plastic canvas so that the bag stands on it's own. The handles are 16 1/2 inches long. This bag is lined in a blue, green and white floral print cotton with lots of pockets. I've attached a coordinating felted wool flower, trimmed with a vintage button, to the front of the bag.

The Emily's versatile shape and size would make for a roomy handbag or purse, a tote bag for your latest craft or knitting project, or a sturdy mini market tote for Saturday mornings at the farm market.
