Copper Confusion One of a Kind Polymer Clay Hair Barrette

Well, I've been doing some clearing out of my clay drawers and came upon some various odds and ends that I made in years past. So, although this isn't representative of the work I am focused on now, I decided to stick these various creations here in my Etsy shop in case someone might like to give them a home! :)

This is a one of a kind polymer clay hair barrette, measuring 3 and 1/4 inches - I'm calling it "Copper Confusion" since it's kind of funky. :) It was made with black polymer clay in an asymmetrical shape, with a variety of glass seed beads stuck in with liquid clay, and brushed with copper metallic pigment powders.

A strand of larger glass beads is wired on top, and is raised above the base part for a unique look. I think the piece would go great with a steampunk sort of style.

The barrette clasp is surrounded by clay for security, so it won't come loose. The inside measurement of the clasp part is about 2 & 1/4 inches.

This will be nicely packaged in a small jewelry box tied in ribbon and shipped First Class.
