Dragon Tears Boro Lampwork Beads - Angelfire Art Glass

As some of you know, I mostly work in soft Italian glass, but every now and again, I like to take a walk on the wild side and play with borosilicate glass. Borosilicate is a much harder glass and more durable glass and is pretty much the same thing as Pyrex(tm) that we all know and love in the kitchen. The most fun I find in working with boro is the almost ethereal quality of this glass. It is a surprise everytime I open the kiln!

The beads in this set of nine mystical beads measures about 8mm x 15mm and were created on a 3/32" mandrel.

I am proud to say I am a Self Representing Artist (SRA #K6), and the KCetsy Street team! My work has been published in the premier issue of The Annealer Magazine and included on the website Wickedly Chic, In the Night Kitchen and A Punkin Card Company!

All of my beady creations were made here in my Missouri studio and fully kiln annealed for longlasting beauty and durability!
