Astrophylite Necklace with Metallic Blue Crystal - Winter Swirls

Description

Astrophylite is a dark stone with streaks of brilliant metallic blue that really have to be seen to be believed. You don't see this quality of astrophylite very often - search other listings & you will see how few there are.
The oval pendant is wire-wrapped with a Czech crystal in Aqua Azuro Vitrail, and strung with metallic blue seed beads (they look like a blue hematite, if that makes any sense).

The pendant hangs 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) from the 19 inch (47.5 cm) long necklace. I've finished it with a silver-plated self-closing clasp - see close-ups here, 4th photo:

because they are so much easier to open & close than normal lobster or spring clasps, yet will not fall off as toggles do.

The necklace actually looks slightly longer than in the 5th photo when you are wearing it - the thickness of the model's collar takes up some length.
