Turkoman Asyk Amulet and Treasure Vases

Description

This is a traditional Asyk from Turkmenistan, incised silver with partial gold overlay. The central stone is a bezel-set oval Carnelian cabochon in a lovely rusty red color. FOR SOME REASON, THE ASYK LOOKS BLUE ON THIS MONITOR. IT IS NOT BLUE!!

The necklace combines 2 Carnelian Treasure Vases which Tibetans/Nepalese believe bring never-ending prosperity to the wearer, 4 Carnelian tube beads, brass melon beads from Nepal, and Jasper heishi in shades of red, orange, rust, gray and black.

The Asyk measures 2" in length and the necklace is approx. 18 1/4" long.
