Japanese Scene vintage Barkcloth

Fabulous, fabulous vintage barkcloth. There are 3 squares of this cloth. This material must have been used as drapes at one time. One piece has the stitches still in it and it looks like it was a rod pocket. One piece has the stitches removed, but they have left a slight impression in the fabric. The third piece has no stitching on it, but word “off” has been written on the backside (or the wrong side) of the fabric where there are bushes in the image. Having mentioned all of this, I think it is fair to say that the material is in good condition. Each square measures approximately 8.5 inches.

I love this material and cut it up to make quilt for my bed; these are the unused squares. It has been stored in a white pillowcase in my closet for about 10 years. It does not smell musty or moldy and I do not see any discoloration. I washed it when I first purchased it (and before it was cut up.)

(I am almost 100% positive that this material is vintage. The person who sold it to me claimed that it was, and so I pass my limited knowledge to you.)

This wonderful barkcloth will be wrapped in tissue paper and mailed in a manila envelope. I will mail this first class. If you would prefer Priority shipping and/or insurance, please let me know and I will adjust the total price for you!
