This is #5 in my Pink Ribbon series to be listed in my Etsy shop. These beads honor the courage, strength, will and memory of survivors and those who fought the good fight. Who have stirred our admiration, our hearts and our tears.

This bead measures approximately 12mm thick, 40mm hole-to-hole and 41mm wide. The hole runs vertically through this bead.

In 2009, an estimated 192,370 new cases of invasive breast cancer will occur among women in the United States. And an estimated 40,170 women will die from breast cancer. Also, about 1,910 men will be diagnosed and 440 men will die of breast cancer during 2009 in the United States. http://ww5.komen.org/BreastCancer/WhoDoesItAffect.html

I will not make a profit on these beads, nor will I be paid for my time, glass or electricity. This is a worthwhile cause that I believe in whole-heartedly. This cancer impacts too many people. These beads are handmade by me on a 3/32 mandrel, annealed in my digitally controlled kiln and then meticulously cleaned with a diamond reamer dremel.
