PRICE REDUCED Groovy Architectural 1960 Mod Yellow Cubelite Table Lamp

Have you ever seen anything so cool?!? Called the Cubelite, made by Design Line, Inc in El Segundo CA. USA! This lamp has a solid architectual feel to it. Depending on which way you display this, it gives off a diferent quality of light. It looks like a piece of modern sculpture during the day! The edges are so crisp, it looks like a butter yellow city skyline. Three metal cubes attached together, each with a cradle to house a short profile bulb. I would recommend placing this on a higher shelf where a passerby would not be blinded by the uncovered bulb. On a shelf this would readily highlight an art piece on the wall above it as well as give of plenty of ambient light. This is just so cool I almost don't want to give it up. Each cube is 4" x 4". The tallest cube is 12" tall, the middle cube is 8" tall and the shortest is 4. The label says to use a 7 1/2 watt bulb. I don't think they have made those in a long time....except for Christmas bulbs. But this outlet holds a standard size bulb, not a tiny one. I used brand new 25 watt bulbs (I will include them)and left this turned on for about 2 hours, and it worked just great!
This was approved by the Underwriters Laboratories (you'd know them as UL, the compliance gods of all things electrical.)I'd show you the label, but I'd rather use the picture space to show the lamp cuz' IT'S SO COOL! Its a heavy lamp, coming in at about 7 pounds. The electrical cord is not cracked and frankly looks unused (the plug is the old school non polarized type) but you should re-wire it just to be safe to have a new polarized plug. There are 2 tiny chips in the paint on the front of the lamp, and a larger paint chip on the BACK of the tall cube. Estimated shipping is $27.00 (based on a previous shipment of similar weight and size.) If shipping is less than was estimated, the diference will be refunded back to you.
