Pouch - Silk with squiggles fabrics and buttons

One in a series of purses - Each is a one-of-a-kind, embellished with a unique assortment of new and 'preloved' fabrics, buttons, trimmings and thread , creating a mini piece of art for you to carry around with you.

This pretty pouch celebrates my love for fabrics and thread. The front is made from a gorgeous caramel coloured shot silk which shimmers beautifully when the light catches it.It's embellished with a mix of yellow and pink fabrics, some deliberately frayed to add texture.I used my sewing machine to add some squiggles - drawn freehand,and added buttons and a few more stitches by hand to finish it off.
The reverse is made from soft beige faux suede fabric and inside is a strong cotton lining - great for storing your lovely stuff (or money) in!
