The Hills Are Alive Original Stitched Vintage Postcard FREE SHIPPING
Description
I love this vintage postcard. It is from the 1950s and is in the style of a Heimatfilm (Alpine movie)that was popular at the time. The card was printed in the former East Germany in the city of Leipzig and shows children in traditional costume, the boys in Lederhosen and the girls in Dirndl. Die Blumenwiese (The Flower Meadow)is printed in the bottom right hand corner. I stitched the postcard with primary red and yellow colored thread which matches beautifully with the overall kitsch appeal of the piece. This an original, one of a kind piece of art and is simply a must for any fans of alpine kitsch. Though over 50 years old, the postcard is still in excellent condition (just a tiny little bit bent on two of the corners)and would love fabulous framed.
