Perfect for a weekend getaway, the Carpet Bag is a roomy travel bag reminiscent of the luggage of the Victorian era. The Carpet Bag starts with a functional design constructed with traditional fabrics in unusual combinations, made unique with unexpectedly funky embellishments. It’s just the right size for a few pairs of jeans, a couple sweaters, your flats and all the other necessities for a few days away from it all. Even if your trip is for business, this bag adds a bit of adventure to even the most mundane destinations!

~ Each Carpet bag is made with UPHOLSTERY WEIGHT FABRIC inside and out and is faced with thick, PADDED INTERLINING to add strength and structure.

~The WATER RESISTANT BOTTOM is constructed of faux leather and topped off with swinging blue fringe. The bottom of the bag is squared off at the ends.

~The top edges of the bag encase TWO STURDY DOWELS to provide a large opening the same size as the bottom of the bag.

~The fringed DETACHABLE SHOULDER STRAP is anchored on each end by antique brass rings and secured by two perfect blue buttons. A lovely wishbone pin graces one end.

~Two PADDED HANDLES allow for comfortable carrying by hand.

~Two fringed straps, each embellished with a ribbonned charm bearing YOUR CHOICE OF INITIALS, wrap around the bag to provide extra support.

~The inside has THREE ROOMY POCKETS to keep everything organized.

~The heavyweight REINFORCED ZIPPER keeps everything securely inside.

~A wide flap with a MAGNETIC CLASP provides an extra bit of security and the vintage brooch that adorns it gives a bit of sparkle.

~ A lovely caramel colored TASSEL swinging from an antique brass ring provides the final easy-breezy touch to a elegant yet fun bag.
