The bands within this rare and sought-after Kentucky agate are just so rich with thunderstorm shades it almost makes the air heavy with the promise of rain!!

I have been without real thunderstorms for more than six years since I have moved to California: every once in a while one will meander through, but they are meager and well-behaved here.
Some of the most spectacular storms have put on their fantastic light show for me while growing up in Pennsylvania and then living in New York City after college, sitting on my stoop in my PJs eating Chinese takeout.

Fearing the roulette wheel of when and where a little and anticipating a little, too...
Surrounding the stone are big billowing granules of sterling, thick as clouds and then flattened on the top of the ring as though a full cycle has passed through the ring - calm and storm.

High-polished sterling with a 14k gold dot: size 7. Cannot be resized.
