Focal pendant, Botanical (Tulip) in Honeycomb

Description

Pendant size: 1 1/2” h x 1 1/4”w and 1/8” thick (3 mm)

A wearable miniature art tile in a warm, satiny glaze color called Honeycomb.

The pendant presented here is one of my unique stamp designs, a stylized tulip pattern. The style of the pattern could appear botanical, Victorian or Middle Eastern, some of my many influences. I cut each shape from a hand-rolled porcelain slab that I stamp and further embellish with raised decoration (like cake decorating for clay); and later glaze each with colors I developed.

Because of the handmade process, dozens of stamps I use and 18 different glazes I have, each pendant is truly one-of-a-kind. The back is unglazed, hand-stamped with my signature, “Kieffer,” and after both kiln-firings, sanded smooth for softness.

This necklace and pendant are lightweight, very comfortable and elegant on all body types. Suitable for men and women.

This porcelain pendant is fired to 2195 degrees and intended for decades of wear. Glazed porcelain is fragile, but equally durable.
