Hans a needle felted wool sock Monkey ornament by Maria Pahls

I love this little blue sock monkey. I want to keep him!
His name is Hans. He is a little mountain climbing monkey wearing his German style outfit.

Hans was created with blue Wool from Cotswolt sheep. I dont know where they get the blue sheep but the wool is sure nice for needle felting. He was made by working the wool with a special needle over a pipe stem armature. The main body is cornflower blue with white paws,tail tip and muzzle.

Hans has little glass eyes in golden green and wears a tiny hand sewn and hand dyed wool outfit. The accent across the chest is done with emboridery floss and two tiny buttons are on the suspenders (they cross in back). Hans also has a hand sewn hat with a feather from George the McCaw Parrot (George lives in Vegas with a friend of mine and she gathers his feathers when he looses them).

Little Hans has a loop in the hat for hanging (cant see in photo) and measures 2 7/8". He will come with my signature tag.
